Seven talented UvA researchers have been awarded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships by the European Commission. The amount awarded per fellowship ranges from around €175,000 to €280,000 euros per researcher. In total, the Commission awarded 1,630 fellowships in this round, together amounting to €328 million euros.
The fellowships are granted under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which form part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The fellowships are meant to stimulate the cross-border mobility of experienced researchers both inside and outside the European Union. The fellowships are personal grants. All seven UvA researchers have been awarded European Fellowships, which last for two years.
This was the last round of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships within Horizon 2020. Starting this year, a new EU framework programme will commence: Horizon Europe.
