Eva Meeus receives HRSMC mobility funding

PhD student Eva Meeus (research group Homogeneous, Supramolecular and Bio-Inspired Catalysis) has received funding from the PhD Mobility Programme of the Holland Research School of Molecular Chemistry. She will visit the group of Prof. Thomas R. Ward at the University of Basel to work on artificial metalloenzymes for a period of three months.

The HRSMC PhD Mobility programme aims to support and reinforce high-quality research within the HRSMC by funding visits of HRSMC-affiliated PhD students to outstanding foreign research groups.

The goal of Eva's project is to synthesize and characterize an artificial metalloenzyme, and to study its catalytic activity in radical-type nitrene transfer catalysis in an aqueous medium. Read more on her project at the HRSMC website.
