Building on her expertise in chemistry, educational development, and educator professionalisation, Dr Grecea will contribute to the development of green hydrogen educational provisions using design-thinking and system-thinking approaches. In doing this, she will collaborate with 2 postdocs who will be appointed with the H2LEARN funding. Grecea will also fulfil the role of technical manager in the project. At University of Amsterdam, the focus will be on in-lab challenge-based transdisciplinary learning for students, educators, and researchers of institutions for academic, professional and vocational education (WO-HBO-MBO), and professionals in the workplace.
The energy transition, including hydrogen, is intertwined with the need for resilient, skills-focused labour markets and adaptable education systems. This requires a parallel transition to a skills-oriented labour market and flexible lifelong learning education provisions, and the availability of both initial and continuing education programmes and training on green hydrogen. H2LEARN is a collaboration between one research university, two universities of applied sciences, secondary professional education institutions, companies and industry stakeholders and aims to establish a responsive and adaptive human capital infrastructure in the Northwestern region by creating a robust and vibrant macro learning community.
