Training

Part of your PhD track is following courses and trainings. An overview of some of the available courses at the UvA, FNWI and HIMS is given on these pages. This includes ‘hard’ skill courses to improve your knowledge on specific research topics, but also ‘soft’ skill courses, which, for example, can help you improve your presentation skills or teach you how you apply for jobs.

There are probably dozens of other courses and schools which are not included in the overview, but which you can find around the internet or are known to your supervisor. The role of your supervisor here is to give advice on which courses to go to, based on your needs.
